What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained professional who offers physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families before, during, and after childbirth. They provide continuous assistance, helping the birthing person and their partners through the childbirth journey. Doulas deliver comfort, encouragement, and advocacy upon request. While they do not offer medical care, they enhance the healthcare professionals' services. Their aim is to empower the birthing individual to have a fulfilling birth experience and to ensure they feel supported every step of the way.

As a full spectrum doula, I see myself as both your cheerleader and coach. My role is to support you enthusiastically while you steer your own course. When you require assistance with informed decision-making, pain management strategies, or advocacy, I step in as your coach. My ultimate aim is to empower you for success. By the end of our collaboration, I aspire for you to feel assured in your ability to continue this journey.
